Ice Scoops, Tongs, Muddlers, Hawthorn Strainer, Nip Measure and Pourers Video
Here’s a short video describing our range of equipment for the bar and for, for cocktail making. These are great for cafés, restaurants, for bars, hotels, pubs, where you’re making cocktails or each of these utensils are sold separately so you just buy what you need. If you need to buy in bulk, these are all sold, sold in bulk, say, if you need a lot of these spirit pourers, so I’m just going to show you what each piece is individually if you watch this entire video.
So we’re just going to show you first just the spirit pourer, so what they are, you can see that’s the pouring end, the rubber cork—this is rubber, good quality, hygienic, metal piece. It’s got a breather hole there and that, that there is actually the breather stem and you can see inside the pouring piece, that’s where it goes through. That’s where the liquid comes through and then it breaths out, flows freely. If you need to slow down the pour, you can just put your finger over like so and then these just fit in a bottle like this so that’s the bottle there where you need to pour it in. The bottles are sold separately if you ever need those ones as well. That’s what they are.
They’re to be used with, say, a spirit measure. So this is a double jigger. The top half is 30 mL. The bottom half is 15 mL so that’s half a shot, one full shot. These are not certified. If you need a proper, certified one, you have to buy these separately. So they’re double jigger. They’re stainless steel. They’re great for home or commercial use. They’re fully stainless steel, safe in the dishwasher if you need to wash them at the end of the night.
And then we’re just going to go through and show you the Hawthorn strainer. If you know what Hawthorn strainer is, they work in the top of glasses for straining liquids, so you can use them in a variety of ways depending on what you need to strain. You strain that way, the coarseness or the items you need to strain, that way. You can even just use it like so, put it inside your glass like that. That’s how they are use. Same thing, all stainless steel, nice and easy to keep clean, put them in the dishwasher when you’re finished.
Ice tongs—these are popular, ever bar needs these. These are also just a good, all around tong, nice, stiff, stainless steel tongs so you can grab your lime or lemon quite easily or quickly and then put that inside your drinks. You can even force your lime inside if you’re serving Coronas or other drinks where you need to do it because they are nice and stiff and they grip quite well.
A muddling spoon, every barman needs a muddling spoon so that’s what that is for. You’ll know how to use those for pouring drinks over if you’re laying liqueurs, this is how they are often used for, pouring liqueurs down and layering them in the drinks so as they don’t break the layers.
A perforated scoop or strainer for scooping out ice or fruit or other things or for, you can also use them for strain out liquids in glasses, either way, like that. And then the ice scoop. Every bar needs one of these for scooping ice. These are very popular because of the shape of them. Just serve enough ice just for one drink. Take and you can just scoop the ice and it fits inside the end of the glass quite well there and you can just put it straight in. Stainless steel again and so this is dishwasher safe.
And then the wooden muddler spoon so a wooden muddler, so this is black timber. It is for muddling, for crushing ice or fruit inside your glasses like so, so that’s what that’s commonly used for and you crush them in there. See these, these are used in timber so they don’t damage glassware. That is the reason they’re timber. These do have to be washed by hand. They’re not safe for a dishwasher, being timber. So that’s our full range. Each of these are sold separately.
