Hawthorn Cocktail Strainer
The Hawthorn cocktail strainer has been sitting behind bars for decades. It’s a simple strainer with the spring around the edge to help with the overall screening process. It can be placed over a shaker and then strained into a glass in order to collect ice, leaves, muddled berries, and various other ingredients from making it into what is served to the customer.
The stainless steel construction offers a hygienic option, and is very easy to clean. It is dishwasher safe. There is also a hole on the handle, allowing it to be hung behind the bar so that it does not get misplaced.

Thicker liquids and crushed ice will still be able to pass through strainer, which is one of the benefits. Other cocktail shakers will not be effective when the liquids are thick or crushed ice should land in the glass.
